OK, so I tried to move to my custom URL but not going to happen due to restrictions on computer I'm currently using. I wasn't promoted again this year its getting old. and I wasn't given the lead supervisor role i should of had as well. overall a crappy week I would say. To say I'm getting tired is an understatement. I am getting to the point I don't want to do this any more. recognition of my work seems understated. and promotion opportunities are slim I like doing what I do but the bureaucracy is killing me. so for the good news I am an expectant dad again I hope everything goes well as my time at home will be slim until late next year. Gotta love the military. So everyone take care sorry for the vent but GAAAAHH. OK that is all I need to go to bed as i start at 0400 in the morning take care all ill try to write more soon.

ok well its been awhile, life has been busy, its hard to beleive that 3 years have past since i started this thing and guess what. I have a reason again to chat baby.. so I have 5 boys at home now 2 are fosters but at least one is a possible adoption, I have no idea when my family will stop growing but it seems that i am destined for boys so for now i have a basketball team and i think we should stop around the football team hehe. so anyone up for donations for my new house addition or just new house i need more room. take care all and ill try to update more thanks for readiing.

Its been a long time

So, its been awhile since ive posted, due to the hectic schedule the ship is currently having and the wonderful quality of internet while at sea, i fnally have a chance to update. well san diego was ok, and our engineering drills were good, made for a long time away from home. finally home after having duty everytime the dang beast left. so im a bit tired, I wonder when i'm allowed to be tired. apparently work is vacation. so i get to be home for one evening then i have to be back at work again for duty, so i get up at 5am to go to work, work from 7-4 then have watch from 4 to midnight, so i got some sleep I had to be up at 6 , random urinalysis and then clean until round 8am finally get to go home, and i guess that i cant sleep in the afternoon being tired, i know its busy and i know she's tired too but i cant be allowed to sleep, then its gets loud after im "allowed " to sleep and apparently i have control over that when im asleep.

so anyways vent off.

We've all seen it, mostly for the kids toys and a bunch of other stuff thats small. But today I found it on a place I would never have imagined. My NEW FREEZER!!!!! wtf since when do major appliances need a battery to work, i thought thats why I paid the electric bill. whats next? you buy a new house and have to install batteries in the door so it will open?? gah strange things . but the garage is cleaner now so sorta a win.

while suffering from a self induced insomnia this evening due to taking a long nap after work, i decided to look at my college grades that are currently posted. my english has been all graded with the exception of the final grade and to my utter amazement the lowest score I got on any assignment that I completed was a 90. now I wasnt able to complete all the assignments due to a screw up on my part but even after doing a last minute 48hours to complete my final from draft to completion I scored a 90 on my final now where in the hell did I learn how to write, english has never been my strong subject but I was able to complete the required work and according to my math which may be off a bit, I'm still getting an 80% overall for the course. so with the exception of the c-programming fiasco which I know wont turn out well. I succesfully completed my english requirement for my degree. woohoo.. so I need to find a programming language I get along with and bang it out and finish out my humanities social science and math requirements and I should be done woohoo. Im still in shock due to the last minute editing and completion of the paper i figured i didnt do as well as i could have. but an A paper in two days ill say it again where did i learn how to write?? take care all and enjoy im going to try and sleep now test for school tomorrow. and I cant wait to be finished with it.

ok, well started class back up today, kinda a wasted day but it feels good to be back, didnt sleep well last night so definatly starting to get tired. I finally was able to take my programming test today, so yeah me howeve it was quickly apparent that I didn't have a handle on all the concepts I should have. so I am now not so eagerly awaiting my grades for this last semester. between my english and programming course whether it was the two courses together, the style they were taught or a combination of a lot of things, its safe to say that I was not mentally there for this semester. I would like to apologize to my wife cause she has been there for me for all my college and I let her down this time. so after the xfer and everything settles down again I will continue my college and attempt to finish up what I can while at sea duty. with a goal of completing it in 2007. well i need to nap as i only really got a couple hours of sleep last night. take care all

I am not a fan of what a lot of advertisers have to say. Some of the commercials and print ads out there are really geared toward the lowest common denominator. So what the heck why not advertise?!?! death. No wait that is life after the Navy. I always get those two mixed up! haha Well under 3 years now until rtirement well unless I advance. So I guess it is under three years until I possibly retire from the Navy. We are looking at what is open out there for me career wise. Once I get my degree I will have my pick of jobs. I have heard though how much of a booming technology area Vegas is becoming. I am not sure how the wife would feel about it. She insistis on living somewhere with lots of green. Las Vegas Highrise Condos May not be our style but after a bit of searching I found some larger homes with a nice little bit of property. Now if I can find one with a pool I think I may be able to talk the wife into it.

Timing is everything

Well you know that as with everything when something happens is when your not expecting it. So with that in mind remember the wife is taking a class this week and I am home on vacation. So roles are a little reversed, she is out of the house early and I am home to take care of the little one. So today as things are moving along at the ever so hectic pace only a stay at home mom can keep up with, Dad was definitely out of his element, the little one decided it was a good time to not wear his diaper, now yesterday when that happened it was post-poop and well he got it everywhere. So dad being the magician he is kept snapping the diaper back together as nothing had happened yet. Finally I gave up and said ok then use the potty. I put him down sans diaper on the baby throne, the darn thing makes music, he sat for a bit and shifted his weight a lot but nothing seemed to be going on. So when I had tired of the drill I asked if he was done and he motioned to be helped up. I went through the drill of asking if he went in the potty, as he hadn't before ever. But still had to go through the motions and lo and behold an odorous liquid assaulted me. He went in the potty. Now mom has done all the prep work on this and has the patience of a saint. And when does he do it. When dad is here and not mom. I wish she could've been here but alas it wasn't slow. Such is life next thing you know hell be making sentences and tap dancing when she's not here too. The only thing he does when I'm gone is grow a ton.

We were going with a mortgage company at first that had a LOT of shady charges. We finally went with a guy and a copany we trusted. A little research suggests that he's an Olympic Gold medalist, an entrepenuer, a wedding photographer and a real estate agent. Hmm thats strange, I think its easier to believe he founded some internet advertising site than any of those other things, but hey Google says its true so it must be right? besides a search of Ted Murphy and twinkies yeilds results about Ted Nugent and the creator of Twinkies so I doubt he eats twinkies in constests but the web is always right. The wife and I have been talking about upgrading our linoleum floor with a hardwood floor, we've been hemming and hawing about it for a bit now what size, what kind etc.. Then she mentioned Bamboo Flooring
after some research and a bunch of chewing I think we are in agreement as to which one and how much. Now I have to go measure square footing and go from there. Wish me luck or my whole house will be covered.

daily PT and other annoyances

gotta love being an overweight sailor, the discussion at work the other day was that a gut used to be a prerequisite for making rank, well that and good coffee handling skills. but in anycase, after 4 days of pt in the morning, my ass hurts, they say thats good but damn. that and foot cramps suck, and guess what I have to do it tommorow too. well the other annoyances part is the fact that in order to do things that require the kids involvement that isn't neccesarily fun, after work, sucks. I've been trying to get the truck full of recycling to the recycling center but I refuse to do it myself due to poor sorting and breaking down of boxes. so the kids are going with me but today was supposed to be that day, the recycling center is 10 min away and closes at 5 and we stil couldnt do it because of bickering and failure to do the recycling correctly. gah. well ranting off, im going to read a book to the youngin and try to get him to sleep. hmm maybe horton hears a who.

well, the wife and I are both trying to finish our homework, I have finished mine for now, I still have lots of reading to do tho. the wife got some hummus and the youngin says nope Im not tired yet so he's here eating all the hummus. I grabbed some because it will be gone if i don't. and although the kid looks exhausted when you tell him that or that its bedtime he goes no, no, no. and I made the wife laugh, I have all the software I need for programming C but I forgot how to use it due to my travel so when I went to use it again I could't remember. so I told her I needed to find the instructions. so I will be better at it when I get done, and my sunday will be busy with a paper and a homework assignment and a trip down the road to playtest a game. don't ask me which one cause I don't know and when I'm done I can't tell you either.

well it looks like my work is done down south, just waiting on the beurocracy to allow me to travel home, I'm stuck in a hotel room dealing with an internet thats sketchy, and doing my english homework, yuk boring, so after a week away from home I am so not looking forward to travel over the holidays, because it will be more of the same, boring, and lonely. At least on the ship I can keep busy with work. so thats less distracting, but just sitting around waiting to get a plane ticket home, sucks. everyone enjoy and have fun I will chat later.

Its Halloween time

also needed is a new motherboard/CPU/graphics card/memory/hard drive upgrade for my desktop

my PATA drives are failing slowly but surely, so the best upgrade is to sata drives however my Motherboard cant do sata, and if I have to upgrade a motherboard then I need to upgrade to one that has PCI express for the new video cards then I need a cpu that I can run on it etc... So yes a new box basically but I want to use my old case so neener..

and I need to get the wife shiny things. too many pots&pans, vacuums and other such useful presents I need a shiny present this year.

The incredible shrinking man

ok so its that time of year again, time when little girls put on sweaters, little boys try to get into said sweaters and the Navy runs it's fall PRT.. Physical readiness test. that said the prt is comprised of two parts. one is a physical challenge. ok maybe not much of one, but you have to do some push-ups, sit-ups and run a mile and a half in under an alloted time. the other part is the difficult one.
and that is the BCA or body composition assesment. aka how fat are you. now there is a height/weight chart that if you don't meet then you have to be tape measured. and well this year, I shrunk an inch. which then takes me out of the chart and I have a skinny neck so I end up with a body fat of dun dun dun.. 25% wow 1/4th of my body is fat according to the navy. so maybe with some creative math or a more accurate measure of height. I may end up in standards. stay tuned for more.
